John Lewis The Bear & The Hare

I am extremely proud to have been a part of this wonderful advert directed by Elliot Dear and Yves Geleyn.
i wasn't an animator on this (not that good....yet!!) as BlinkInk had spared no expense in getting the incredible Aaron Blaise onboard as lead animator!
i was part of the colourist/shadows team, a role which gave me an insight to how these godly animators work. i feel i learned a lot from seeing how they use gestures, spacing and timing as well as restraining the movements. now i just need to retain that knowledge and apply it in my work!
i cant expand on the production method right now, so you'll just have to wait until monday for the making of video!

Arctic Monkeys - 'Do I Wanna Know?'

Recently finished at Colonel Blimp Animating on this music Video Directed by the psychedelic brain that resides in David Wilson. This vid was an absolute pleasure to work on. Its rare that i get the chance to animate an eagle being torn apart, and shortly after poops out a brain which then smashes into a hillbilly who rides off into the distance and explodes.
Hopefully David will Direct another psychedelic adventure soon and the fun can continue.

Ink tests

I got a little bored of pencil in my drawing class so i started experimenting with a calligraphy pen and indian ink. It's quite fun and refreshing making a mess and trying to use mistakes and spills in the drawing.
